NarroWay Terms of Use (EULA)

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of NarroWay, including the website at narroway.io, the web app at app.narroway.io, and the NarroWay mobile applications (collectively, the “Service”). By creating an account, purchasing a membership, starting a trial, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy (https://narroway.io/privacy).

If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Apple note: For users who obtain NarroWay through the Apple App Store, Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement (or Apple’s then-current Standard EULA) may also apply. Where these Terms and Apple’s terms conflict with respect to Apple’s rights and obligations as the App Store provider, Apple’s terms control for that limited purpose. Your purchase of auto-renewable subscriptions and In-App Purchases on iOS is also subject to Apple’s payment and subscription terms.

1. Who May Use NarroWay

1. You must be able to form a binding contract.

2. If you are under 18, you may use the Service only with involvement of a parent or legal guardian who accepts these Terms.

3. Household accounts are intended to be created and managed by a parent, guardian, or other adult steward.

4. Organization / school / church access may be granted through codes or admin provisioning under separate arrangements with that organization.

2. The Service

NarroWay provides digital discipleship content and tools, which may include:

  • Scripture Path / mastery map content
  • Word and Field training modes
  • Parent Hub / Dinner Table verification features
  • Progress, streaks, and household profiles
  • Optional organization (church or school) features

We may update, add, or remove features. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

Important: NarroWay is an educational / discipleship software product. It is not a substitute for pastoral counsel, professional therapy, medical advice, or formal academic accreditation.

3. Accounts and Security

1. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for activity under your account.

2. Provide accurate account information and keep it updated.

3. Notify us promptly at team@narroway.io if you suspect unauthorized access.

4. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, pose security risk, or are used for abuse.

4. Free Starter, Trials, and Memberships

4.1 Free starter

NarroWay may offer a forever-free starter experience with limited content (for example Path World 1 and selected Field modes). Free features may change.

4.2 Full-access trial

Where offered, NarroWay may provide a limited full-access trial (for example 3 days). Unless clearly labeled otherwise in the purchase flow:

  • The in-app trial is a server-side, no-card trial, not an Apple introductory offer that auto-charges via StoreKit.
  • When the trial ends, access returns to free starter unless you purchase a membership.

4.3 Paid memberships

Paid access may include:

  • Individual monthly or annual subscriptions
  • Family monthly or annual subscriptions
  • Founder Lifetime (one-time / non-consumable style access where offered)

Exact plan names, lengths, and prices are shown at checkout (App Store prices on iOS; Stripe prices on the web). Prices may differ by platform and storefront.

Purchases on one channel generally unlock the same household entitlement in the app when you sign in with the same account, subject to verification and platform rules (including Apple Guideline 3.1.3(b) access for content purchased elsewhere when also offered via IAP).

5. Auto-Renewable Subscriptions (Apple and Web)

This section applies to auto-renewable subscriptions.

1. Payment: Payment will be charged to your Apple ID (iOS) or payment method on file with Stripe (web) at confirmation of purchase, or at the end of any applicable introductory/trial period that is part of that store’s offer.

2. Renewal: Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.

3. Renewal charge: Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the then-current subscription price.

4. Managing subscriptions:

- iOS: Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions, or use Manage Subscriptions in the NarroWay membership flow

- Web: narroway.io/account

5. Cancellation: Canceling stops future renewals. It does not usually refund the current paid period unless required by law or the store’s policy.

6. Price changes: We or the storefront may change prices with notice as required by law and platform rules.

Title, length, and price for each subscription are displayed in the purchase UI before you buy.

6. Lifetime / One-Time Purchases

Founder Lifetime (also called Founding Family Lifetime), when available:

  • Is a one-time purchase, not an auto-renewing subscription
  • Grants permanent Family-tier access for the life of the NarroWay service, subject to these Terms
  • Includes standard Family-tier membership content and features as NarroWay evolves (for example Path, Field, Word, Daily Bread, Parent Hub, and Dinner Table for this household), unless we clearly exclude something at purchase
  • Does not include separate organization seat packs, enterprise/admin products, physical goods, third-party Bible publisher licenses beyond what the Service already licenses, or unrelated future apps unless explicitly stated at purchase
  • On iOS, when offered, is purchased as an In-App Purchase (non-consumable) and can be restored with Restore Purchases for the same Apple ID / NarroWay account linkage
  • Is not managed in Apple’s Subscriptions list the way auto-renewing plans are

Deleting your NarroWay account removes access in our Service even if a store still shows historical purchase records.

7. Refunds

  • Apple purchases: Refund requests are handled by Apple under Apple’s refund policies.
  • Stripe / web purchases: Contact team@narroway.io; refunds are handled according to applicable law, Stripe processes, and our then-current support practices.
  • We do not control Apple’s refund determinations.

8. License to Use NarroWay

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Service for personal, household, or authorized organizational discipleship use.

You may not:

1. Copy, redistribute, sell, lease, or publicly perform NarroWay content except as expressly allowed

2. Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code except where prohibited restrictions are disallowed by law

3. Bypass paywalls, entitlements, or security controls

4. Scrape, bulk-download, or create competing datasets from Service content

5. Use the Service for unlawful, harassing, exploitative, or fraudulent purposes

6. Share login credentials in a way that circumvents household or organization seat limits

All Scripture text, curriculum, software, trademarks, and branding remain owned by NarroWay or its licensors. Bible text may be subject to third-party Bible publisher licenses displayed in-product where applicable.

9. User Content and Household Data

If you submit names, notes, verification outcomes, or other content:

1. You retain ownership of your user content.

2. You grant NarroWay a worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, process, and display that content solely to operate and improve the Service.

3. You represent you have rights to provide the content (including permission to create profiles for family members).

10. Organization / Church / School Features

If you redeem an organization code or join an organization:

1. Your organization may see limited roster and assignment progress necessary for that program.

2. Organization admins are responsible for their lawful use of member data.

3. Organization access may end if the organization relationship or code is revoked.

11. Acceptable Use & Safety

You agree not to misuse the Service, interfere with other users, attempt unauthorized access, or upload malware. We may investigate and take action, including suspension, for violations.

12. Third-Party Services

The Service relies on third parties (including Apple, Google/Firebase, and Stripe). Their terms and privacy policies apply to their processing. NarroWay is not responsible for third-party outages or policy changes outside our reasonable control.

13. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, NARROWAY DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT CONTENT WILL MEET YOUR EXPECTATIONS.

14. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE NARROWAY LLC AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID TO NARROWAY FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) FIFTY U.S. DOLLARS (US $50).

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.

15. Indemnity

You agree to defend and indemnify The Narroway LLC against claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your misuse of the Service, your user content, or your violation of these Terms.

16. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time (in-app deletion or email team@narroway.io).

We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the Service. Provisions that by nature should survive (including ownership, disclaimers, limitations, and indemnity) will survive termination.

Cancel store subscriptions separately so billing stops.

17. Changes to the Service or Terms

We may modify the Service and these Terms. We will post updated Terms at https://narroway.io/terms and update the date above. If changes are material, we may provide additional notice. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.

18. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the Commonwealth of Virginia, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, unless mandatory consumer protections in your place of residence require otherwise. Courts located in Virginia shall have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from these Terms, except where prohibited.
